FAQ

What is chiropractic care?

Chiropractic care is an all-natural, non-invasive treatment that emphasizes the health and proper functioning of the spine and nervous system. By aligning the spine through special adjustment techniques, chiropractic treatments help to alleviate pain, promote self-healing, strengthen the immune system, improve posture and balance, and maximize mobility.

Are all chiropractic treatments the same?

No. After performing a thorough exam, your doctor will recommend a custom-tailored treatment to meet your needs and address your conditions. Each session will be a continuation of the last one, with no two exactly alike.

Are chiropractic adjustments painful?

Usually not. When performed by an experienced and skilled chiropractic doctor, adjustments are carefully controlled and do not cause pain. In fact, in most cases, the patient experiences a noticeable decrease in pain and inflammation immediately following an adjustment.

What causes the popping sound during a chiropractic treatment?

When a joint is manipulated, the pressure change causes a gas bubble to be released and creates a popping sound. This does not usually cause any discomfort.

Will my insurance cover chiropractic treatments?

Yes. Most insurance policies and major medical plans do cover chiropractic care.

Are chiropractic techniques safe?

Yes. Chiropractic care has been proven as a safe, effective treatment without relying in drugs or surgery. Renowned physicians around the world have attested to its usefulness as a legitimate medical practice.

Can pregnant women receive chiropractic care?

Yes. Our chiropractors treat many pregnant women. In fact, many women who receive chiropractic treatment have reported easier, faster labour and delivery as compared to women who did not see a chiropractor. All treatments are customized to meet the needs and physical condition of the patient.

Can children receive chiropractic care?

Yes. Our chiropractors treat many children and teenagers. Young people can experience many painful conditions caused by sports injuries, falls, and other accidents. Symptoms can be significantly reduced by gentle chiropractic treatments.

Is a referral required to see a chiropractor?

In most cases, a referral is not required. However, we recommend checking with your insurance company or your company’s human resources department to be sure.
